Salman Khan, born 27 of December, 1965, is the son of the legendary Indian screenwriter Salim Khan who is responsible for such Bollywood hits as Seeta aur Geeta (1972), Zinjeer (1973), Deewaar (1975), Sholay (1975), and Trishul (1978) Starting from his debut movie Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) Salman's career with its ups and downs of it seemed just like the picture on the cardiogram machine. Just like any other Bollywood rookie, Salman had a lot of failures and screw-up's but it is for his handsomeness, natural charisma and undoubted talent that Salman looked so good in the worst of his projects and the viewer still loved him.
Even without that some of his movies had so much success that they still remain unbeatable. His movie Love (1991) where he starred brought him huge fame and with that Salman came third in the viewers' favorites' list after Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. In 1994 the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun came out and became the one of the most successful Bollywood movies along with the Deewaar and Zinjeer. And of course one cannot forget the Dushman Duniya Ka even though Salman had just a supporting actor part in it.
With that in store, the actor was moving slowly but confident up the career ladder. But despite all of his advancements in the movie world, it wasn't as bright as it was on the screen in his personal life. It was rather controversial. Salman has never been one of those persons who care enough about their reputation. A huge number of controversial events and scandals was the reason for Salman to get a nickname "The Bad Guy" in Bollywood. Salman ran over a number of pedestrians with one of those dying under the wheels of the car, however, this is not the reason why the Indian courts are attacking the actor for ten years already. It is because in 1998 while hunting the actor shot two black antelopes which are considered the die-out kind dead. It is only not so long ago that Salman got into prison for a couple of days after which he paid the bailment.
The most controversial as well as the most popular of Salman's romances was the one with a first beauty of India, Miss World Aishwarya Rai. The two met at the shooting of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which led to them dating. The actors were passionately in love with each other but with every single day it was getting more and more obvious that this will not lead the two to something good. Salman was extremely jealous of Aishwarya. It took him one doubt of her to make him rush to her house and start numerous scandals. It is told that once he started firing guns at her door because she didn't open it. For months to pass these stories were only considered gossips and legends until once Aishwarya was seen with bruises and later she wrote a police statement where she accused her boyfriend of beating her up. The actress told the police that Salman broke into her house, threatened her and was breaking the furniture all over the place. That were Aishwarya partners that were the reason behind Salman's jealousy and numerous fights the two had. Once he came to the shooting of Kuch Naa Kaho where Aishwarya worked with an Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan. After a minute of talk Salman started to throw his fists out. It is only because of Salman that Aishwarya has lost her part in one of the most successful films of Bollywood Chalo Ishq Ladaaye to Rani Mukerji. Salman was very jealous of Shakrukh Khan and he was always complaining about it. After Shakrukh who also was the producer for the movie got tired of all of the complaints he decided to simply replace Aishwarya with Rani Mukerji. This was the last thing Aishwarya could stand. In 2002 the former Miss World has broken up with Salman Khan and the two didn't even talk to each other. Salman was outrageous and has cost a bunch of nerves to Aishwarya's newly found boyfriend - Vivek Oberoi. Salman also couldn't stand anyone near him recalling the name Aishwarya. It is well documented that he was ready to fight Rishi Kapoor's (a famous Indian actor, film producer and director) son, Ranbir Kapoor. It was because of Ranbir trying to attract one of the girls in the night club and comparing her to Salman's ex-girlfriend saying "Look what a beauty that is! A real Aishwarya she is!" Salman got mad because of Ranbir's light-minded manner of saying this and it was very hard for the actor's friend, Sanjay Dutt to calm Salman down.
It took enough time but eventually Salman calmed himself down. He apologized to Shakrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor and concentrated solely on his work. The actor started to grow again with his movies regularly become hits. Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002), Tere Naam (2003), Kyon Ki (2005), No Entry (2005), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005), Lucky: No Time for Love (2005). The actress called Katrina Kaif who Salman met at shooting one of his most recent movies is now his girlfriend. Katrina did not get scared away by the actress reputation and the fact that she is twenty years younger than the "bad guy of Bollywood". The two are together since they've met and Salman didn't take the wedding between Aishwarya Ray and Abhishek Bachchan too hard. Even more than that, Salman and Aishwarya are now telling the media they are each other's best friends now.
It seems as if Salman Khan is really happy now. He stars in the successful movies; God Tussi Great Ho one of his recent ones became the most successful box-office Indian comedy ever in Bollywood's history. His girlfriend Katrina Kaif is building up an outstanding career in Bollywood, having no failures in her portfolio. It also seems as if Katrina is not giving Salman any reasons to be jealous or it can easily be that the actor is all grown up now. By the way, he was recently very enthusiastic about art and pictorial art in particular and he started painting as well. Those who had seen some of the actor's works tell that they are as good as the films he had been in. All of the money that gets raised by his painting hobby is being transferred to Salman fund which helps children with cancer diseases and also mentally sick people.
Salman is, just like he always was, starring in several movies at one time. It seems like the most anticipated of them is called Veer by Anil Sharma. Salman, following his father's footsteps has written the plot for the movie himself. According to different gossips, Salman is receiving an extremely large paycheck of 250 million of rupees for the movie (just for the comparison means, Shakrukh Khan's paycheck is something around 34 million rupees). And of course, just as usual, one will never know whether the movie will be a massive success or a miserable failure.
